K-5 Science PLC: Spring 25 - Making Science Manageable, Cohesive, and Fun

Given the challenges with teaching science in the K-5 classroom, shifting to the new science standards (NYSSLS) can feel overwhelming. This PLC will focus on making teaching science more manageable and cohesive by connecting the big ideas of NYSSLS to lessons throughout the year.

We will review your current classroom and district resources to make science fun, engaging, and hands-on for students. We will learn from each others' experience and knowledge to build your confidence to take science lessons to the next level - whatever stage you are in your NYSSLS journey.

Meetings will be online, where resources and strategies will be shared and there will be time to collaborate. Asynchronous time in between live sessions will help with implementation and reflection.
